How do you do it? Work and Exercise?
Hi Ladies, How do you all do it? I used to work out almost every night after work, now I am so busy after work its hard to even work out. How do you do it? Do you eat better during the day to compensate for the fact that you arent working out as much? I work long hours and its hard but I do work out on the weekends and maybe 1-2 times a week.
HELP!

I am struggling with this same problem right now. As I type this (8:05 PM), I am still at work. I often work long hours so it's tough. This is what I have been doing to try to combat the problem: 1) Walk more during the week - e.g. 10 blocks to the express subway instead of taking the local 1 stop 2) Walk on the weekends to do errands 3) Workout in the morning before work

i leave for work at 7am, come home at 630pm..cook dinner, clean up, then go for a run.
mondays i have grad school until 11
i used to be one of those skinny biatches that could eat anythign and stayed thin (not skinny, but thin)...not anymore! after looking at my wedding pics, i want to lose 10lbs. i just tell myself its not an option, i HAVE to work out

I know it is so hard. I sometimes feel like working out is a part time job. On gym nights I don't get home until after 7 most of the time then we eat dinner and I shower and it is time for bed. Then there is double the laundry from all the workout clothes but I just have made it part of my life and now I can say I really do enjoy going and when I am done I feel so much better. I sit at a desk all day so to get up and move is definitely something I need. The most important thing for me was to schedule it into my day like any other appointment and stick to it. You can do it!

this was a major problem of mine... I would work out twice a day-- doing cardio in the morning before I showered, then after work I did weight training. I found it easier to fit it in when I broke it up. Also, when I looked at it as 30 to 45 mins at a time, instead of an hour and a half-- it was a lot easier to fit one or the other in-- instead of nothing.
And on days when you don't get to work out-- you should eat slightly less-- because you don;t have to eat extra calories to give you the energy to work out-- think of food as fuel, not as a diet per se.

I get it in when I can. I go to kickboxing 2 -3 times a week sometimes 4 times IF I'M LUCKY. Unfortunately, for me, I have to make sure my DH is home to watch the girls otherwise, I don't get to go at all.
On the weekends, I will put them in the stroller and go for a walk. I try and watch what I eat too. There are nights I COULD get on the treadmill but I'm dog azz tired.

Glad to see I am NOT the only one who feels like that I used to work out 6 nights a week now its more like 2-3 and I just feel flabby if that makes sense I just need to get my *** out of bed in the am and hit the gym even if its 45 mins!!

Im at the gym when it opens at 5:30 workout till 7 and at work by 9. The hardest part of the morning schedule is going to bed at 10-1030...but Im done!! I ran 6.5 miles this AM and I feel great...

I work out in the morning. I get up at 5:30am, go to the gym, shower there and go straight to work. If I tried to go at night it would NEVER happen. I generally work a 10 hour day and I don't feel tired at all during the day.

I'm with you sister!!!! Going to the gym at nights has become very intermittent for me. I think the only thing that is going to work is for me to start going regularly in the mornings.

what do most of you do in the am before work, cardio, weights, a combo?

I like to do cardio in the morning because I sweat like a crazy person-- so I NEED to shower after. If I do just the weight training later in the day, I don't sweat as much so I don't need to take a second shower for the day.

I have to be at work at 7:15. I get on the 6:30 am train and dont get home till 6:45pm. My DH and I have been trying to go to the gym at 715 - 8:15 but it only really happens 2 times a week. I try to wake up at 4:00 am but I am so tired I have only got to the gym 2 times and passed out at 7:30 pm when I got home. I am so frustrated and I eat nothing but veggies and egg wihites and I still cant lose a pound!
