How do you feed your cat?

I grew up with cats that were always fed twice a day 1/2 can wet and unlimited amount of dry food available during the day.

My little boy is about 1 years old and I notice he loves to eat wet food in the morning but doesn't seem into it at night. Do you think because it is cold (in the fridge during the day)?

Should I feed him 1 full can in the morning and nothing at night?

I feed my cat once a day...in the morning. We only feed him dry, wet makes vomit...no matter which type I try. We give him a full bowl of dry and a bowl of water. When I get home from work, I will refill the water bowl and top off the food if necessary. Very rarely does he ever go through a full bowl of food

My cat gets fed once a day also - one of those small fancy feast cans. Sometimes she eats all of it, sometimes she doesn't. There's dry food & water available all day. It could be your cat isn't hungry at night - does he look for you for the second feeding? If not, skip it for a few days and see what happens?

our cat is slightly overweight (normal for orange males) so he gets 1/2 cup of dry food in the morning and 1/2 cup at night.

he doesn't really love wet food so he never gets it.

Our cat gets fed one can of fancy feast in the morning & one at night (or 1 big can - split).

If we are splitting a can - I take the can out of the fridge and let it sit out for a bit so its not cold.

We give him dry food when we get home from work around 5.

The 2nd can when we sit down for dinner around 7.

He gets a small handful of dry food around 930 if he didn't eat the wet food - which happens once in awhile

Our cat sticks his nose up at wet food. Just won't eat it.
Every AM I give him dry food and he will graze at that all through the day.

when we first got sushi, the vet recommendation was unlimited dry and 3oz wet in the am. When we brought her back a month later he said she could stand to eat more so he increased her to unlimited dry and can in the am and can in the pm. When she turned a year old (July) all of a sudden she started not liking her wet or dry food anymore and went on "strike." So we changed her food from wellness to Iams and now LOVES her dry food but still wont eat her wet. The problem is that she CRIES every morning if we do not give her her wet foot and WHINES if we do not feed her at night.....EVEN THOUGH SHE WILL NOT EAT the wet food we give her I do not want to tell you how many cans of cat food I have been trying....The past two weeks I have started giving her Sheba. The only problem (aside from how expensive it is ) is that the cans that come in the multipack are NOT nutritionally balanced. The ones that are sold seperately are, but, go figure, she is snubbing the nutrionally sound ones and only eating the "use only as a supplement" ones. I'm gonna kill my kitty

our kitties get 1/3 cup in the am and 1/3 cup in the pm. they get dry food only.

They get various treats during the day sometimes. DH is so bad with that!

I only feed him dry. Hate the way his litter stinks from the wet. He gets wet food as a treat......

He fat arse doesnt seem to mind

1 can in the AM with unlimited dry. They went through a stage where they wanted the wet but wouldn't finish a full can. I would give them 1/2 a can in the AM, then depending on if they had finished it or not, I would possibly give them the rest of the can (which I would warm becasue they didn't like the cold refrigerated wet food) at night.

ur cat gets 1/4 cup crunchy food in the am (automatic feeder, but she basically has food all the time because she doesnt eat it all before the next days comes out)

and then 1 can of wet food at night (medley's)

my miller is a little chubby so we feed him 1/4 cup of dry in the am and 1/4 cup of dry in pm... sometimes i give him a LITTLE extra as a "night cap" lol

I am giving Hades diet food and so 1/2 cup morning, 1/2 cup evening (that is what it says on the package for his weight) and 1 spoonful of wet food in the evening. I put the leftover food in a tiny tupperware container and store in the fridge. Then I microwave for 10 sec each evening to warm it up.

Mine always have dry food available.......

As for wet food, I give them half a can each at night before I go to bed. It's fancy feast, so the can is smaller than most- but they seem plenty satisfied! Also, for my female cat, fancy feast is the only brand she will eat.

Espresso is on a prescription diet of wet food only and he gets 1/3 of a can 3 times a day...a.m., p.m. and right before we go to bed
