How do you feel about baby einstein dvds?
Did you use them?
What age was your child when they watched them?
How often did they watch them?

I'm not comfortable with putting my 5 mth old in front of them yet. I don't want him to get hooked on tv like his parents!!!!

Re: How do you feel about baby einstein dvds?
DS is 4 1/2 months old, and I bought him his first einstein dvd around 3 1/2 months old. Its called Baby's First Moves, and he really likes it, its basically shows other babies & toddlers sitting up, jumping, clapping, touching their nose, dancing.
I think its really cute, DS loves it when they show a close up of the babies faces.
ETA: HE watches it once a day

ITA. I won't put my child in front of the TV, either. I don't think it's healthy.

Re: How do you feel about baby einstein dvds?
DS loved some of them, but only really got into them at maybe 5 months old I think.. He watched them as part of his 'winding down' bedtime routine (before bath, book , bottle) and really enjoyed them, now though he's not that interested at all (he just turned one)

We love them. My DD watches all of them and she is hanging on every scene as if she's never seen it before.

Re: How do you feel about baby einstein dvds?
I had a whole 15-DVD collection. Half were never opened because my kids didn't watch them. I ended up selling them on ebay.

Hate them. So did Andrew. He had zero interest in them. He liked Little Einsteins better.
I sold them all on ebay. I would get one or two first and see if DC likes them.

Re: How do you feel about baby einstein dvds?
DS likes them a lot.
I used to use them to help him take his morning nap.
He's focus on the shapes, etc. and drift off instead of flailing in all different directions in his swing and the music would help him stay asleep.
We don't use them as much anymore because he's in daycare, but I used them from 2 weeks on.

DD started watching them at about 5 months. She is now 10 months and could watch it all day every day (though I won't let her).
She is mesmerized by it!

Re: How do you feel about baby einstein dvds?
DS never liked them, even though I bought about 5. The only thing he'll really sit and watch is the Wiggles and he only started really watching at about 10 months. Before then, any TV was just background noise to him.

I agree- I don't put my DD in front of the television. She plays on the floor with her toys and we listen to music together. The Baby Bach DVD is still in its wrapper..

He used to watch it, once he hit about 3 or 4 months old, he lost interest. He'd much rather play

Re: How do you feel about baby einstein dvds?
No TV for DS until 3 years old (only on special occasions and then it's only sports). I used to think it was an impossible feat, but we all got used to it.

Re: How do you feel about baby einstein dvds?
My first DS loved/loves them. So I love them too. He started to watch them around 2-3 mos and right away was attracted to them. I basically used them to calm him down when fussy or when I needed to get something done. When he was very young we had a rule no more than 30 minutes a day and eventually gerw to no more then 2 shows a day as he got older. Now he is 2.5 and we still use them for him to nap. He sits and watches and falls asleep to them. Then there are a couple he likes to watch still for entertainment esp the ones with the animals.
My 2nd DS, so far no real interest but nothing seems to interest him. He is 2.5 mos.

Ar my shower someone gave me a pack of them. Baby Einstien, Baby Mozaart, Baby Galileo etc
I call them baby crack. When I put them on JAG just stops and starts to stare at the tv, he gets so into it. We oly watch them about 2 or 3 times per week
