How do you get melted gum off of a shirt? **UPDATED**
My DH and his stupid gum!!!!!!!  
he left a piece of gum in his dress shirt pocket and now the pocket is stuck together and there is a huge stain.
help!
UPDATE: THANK YOU to everyone who recommended "goo gone". I got the gel in a spray bottle at B,B&B and the gum AND the stain is GONE!

rub ice on it or just throw the whole shirt in the freezer.
Let the gum get hard and try to pry it off.

That stuff works great! It even takes melted crayons off upholstery that a kid may have left on your car seat in 110* weather!

it's called goo gone
i use it all the time... never have used it for gum. but it's great stuff to always have at home

My XMIL turned me on to it after we visited her in the HOT Arizona desert one year. As long as it's heated up( the crayon) you just keep applying and absorbing with a clean cloth until it's gone. If it is hardened use a blow dryer to warm it up.

Peanut butter used to work to get gun out of my hair as a kid......if that works....and leaves a stain from the oil of the peanbutter then use Dawn (dish soap) to get the greese stain out.
Or go buy a new shirt.....whatever is the easiest thing to do.

You could also try directly freezing it using one of those compressed air cans, like the ones for cleaning/dusting keyboards.

well the shirt has been in the freezer for hours. the pocket is no longer stuck together, thanks to the gum now being hard as a rock. the only problem, I cannot pry the gum off the fabric
I need to get some of that goo gone
