How do you go about finding a sitter/nanny/daycare for ONE day a week?
I work from home 3 days a week. I am in my studio with clients and cannot attend to the kids at all. Right now my kids are watched in my home(mostly Peyton, Jordan is in school), DH does Mondays, My mom does wed and my MIL does Fri. Long story short, I can not continue to use my MIL. It is not working out and I refuse to eat $hit cause she is doing me a favor. I have never left my kids with a stranger before and I am little freaked out. How can I find someone that I can trust and will someone do one day a week?

we used to do 1 day a week with daycare... i know they say 2 day is the minimum but if u ask them they will usually work with u. its a little far from u but we used summerfield in holtville and we did 1day a week for awhile. added another day a few months later.

i know you dont know me from joe shmo, but i do not work on fridays and wouldnt mind babysitting. I am in holtsville. Also, I do send my son to an at home daycare. He goes Mon and Wed. The price is good and it is very small and very clean. It is in Medford. It was reffered to me by my cousin, who cuts the owners hair. If you want to know more FM me.

Thank you so much. I am thinking it will have to be pretty close to home because I have to put DD#1 on the bus about 20 minutes before I have to start work. I am not sure. Even though I have had a kid for 10 yrs, I have been lucky enought to always have family watching them. I have never had to deal with any morning run around. It intimidates me

No problem!!! If you change your mind, let me know. I dont mind at all. Even if it's until you find something different.

I recommend sittercity.com.
If you post the days and hours you are looking for you'll get people who can fit into your schedule.
You can run background checks, get references, etc.
I've used them for 2 p/t nannies and been very pleased.

Did you look at any of the smaller daycares? I found one by me that will do one day a week and stay late for me.
