How do you keep positive thoughts?
I am 6w today, and won't have a GYN appt until April 24! DH and I try not to even talk about it much, didn't tell our families, because we just don't know. I can't wait to go to the doctor and see if everything is OK. Its so hard to pass the time...
How did you guys wait that long?

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
I agree with above posters. It is soooo hard and stressful for us all, so we can all relate, unfortunately!!
I know it's hard, just try to stay positive and think of other things!!

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
keep peeing on sticks.
At first, all the waits between visits drove me nuts. I found posting here helped as well as NOT posting at times and NOT reading anything related to babies and pregnancy. Just depended on my mood, some days you worry a little more and getting info makes it worse.

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
I found out I was pg at 4 weeks and didin't have my first appointment until I was 9 and 1/2 weeks! I was so anxious as I had NO symptoms (other than sore boobs) and was convinced something was wrong.
As a previous poster said- I peed on sticks religiously (and felt up my sore boobs ).
You'll get through it- and if you have no symptoms- DON'T worry, many of us don't/didn't.
Congrats to you!!!

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
Congrats!
I have no advice on passing the time. I have not had that problem with a 3 year old and an almost-2-year-old running around I have days now when I say "Holy cow! I am preagnant????? When did THAT happen???" and I am nearing 18 weeks!
Hang in there... and keep peeing on sticks!

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
embrace any symptoms you have. They are good signs for the pregnancy (although some people don't have any - so don't worry if you don't)
I know when I started to spot, I was reassured by m/s.

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
I'm due around the same time as you, Dec. 1st, and I won't see the doctor either until April 20th.
I'm doing okay, but I'm really trying to live in the day and think that for today, I am doing just fine. I figure if something goes wrong, I'll have plenty of time to be upset then.
I did tell my sister and two of my best friends. We may tell DHs parents this weekend. I'll probably tell mine after the appt. Did you go get a blood test yet? I had two, and the horomone levels shot up a lot by the second one, so I took that as a good sign.
It is hard not telling people and wondering if everything will be okay.

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
Just try to be happy & healthy. Start taking a otc prenatal if you don't have a script for one, eat healthy so you feel good.
If you feel uncomfortable telling people so early, maybe you could confide in one good friend or just post on here alot.
Good luck

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
I am the same as you. I am driving my family crazy! We found out at like 4 weeks. Of course we told the family right away (big mistake, cause they told everybody else). I got my BFP on March 5th and I got into the dr on March 7th cause I was having pain on my side. I was afraid it was an ectopic pregnancy. All is good so far. Had my first sono 2 wees ago, saw the heartbeat, but I'm back to having negative thoughts 'cause I hardly have ANY symptoms. I just try to catch myself when I'm being negative and turn it into positive. I also pray ALOT. Good luck with everything. Stay positive!

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
As hard as it is, just try not to think about it too much. I found out at 3 1/2 weeks and saw my doctor at 4 weeks, but still there was no real confirmation except for their pregnancy test that I was pregnant. It was later on when you have all the bloodwork and your first sono that it really kicks in. For now, take care of yourself, eat healthy, drink a lot of water and rest. Everything will be fine

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
it is VERY hard. i was a poas-aholic during that time - i knew at 4 weeks but saw the doctor at 7 weeks. Try to enjoy the time and not stress too much its not good for the baby (i know its easier said than done)

Re: How do you keep positive thoughts?
I felt the same way...I actually did not get to enjoy being pregnant in the beginning because I was always so worried....I regret that.....
It is hard to stay positive but try to keep your mind on other things.....
