How do you know if its a regualr cold or the Flu??

DS has a really bad stuffy, runny nose a, is coughing and sneezing alot?

He ate all his breafast but only a little bit of his lunch.

THe reeason I think it could be the flu is because DH is just gettignover it and I had what I think was a much milder form of it.

We have an appointment withthe ped later this after noon, so we will find out.

FOr the BTDT moms what do you do to help them breath easier when DC can't sleep because his nose gets worse when he lays down???

I would consider it being the flu if DS has a fever and maybe vomiting or diarrhea. He would probably be very lethargic also. I only had the flue once and that was 10 years ago but I would assume it would mimic symptoms an adult would get.

I would put the humidifier on his room and use the saline drops. If DS doesn't move around a lot in the crib then try and elevate one side of his mattress or see if he will sleep in the bouncy or swing. Hope he feels better.
