How do you know what flutters feel like?
I know some people feel flutters before feeling movement. But what do they feel like - is it like butterflies, or is it like twinges?

I honestly could not tell in the beginning....I kept feeling like it was flutters and tehn I woudl doubt it and think it was gas! At exactly 18 weeks, they were definite kicks and I was 10000% sure of it...I prob was having flutters a bit earlier but it's such a new feeling that I wasn't sure....

The best way I can describe it is that I felt as though there were bubbles popping in my stomach.
(at least I think that is what were my flutters!!!) Sometimes I feel so clueless!

on a couple of occasions around 16 weeks i started feeling like i was being tickled from the inside, right around my belly button. those feelings were quickly replaced with what i now know were little kicks, and those felt like little "pops" in my belly, sort of like gas bubbles popping (but not painful). once you feel the little pops you won't be able to miss it... but the flutters are tricky. i'm not even sure that what i was feeling was really "flutters"...

I only started having them in the last week or two and I am 22 weeks. When it happens, I think it is gas, but then realize it is different. It feels like a little rumbling in my belly.

Around 16 weeks I started feeling like bubbles were popping. At 20 weeks it was like a rumble and you could feel it on the outside. I never described it as flutters. I said I imagined a wet bird shaking off it's feathers cause that's what it seemed like to me.

This is what it felt like to me. Kinda like my stomach was growling but not really.
I felt this about 15 or 16 weeks
Since 21 weeks I can feel pokes or punches.
"twinges" I think would probably be your uterus stretching.

I thought they felt like butterflies, though in the beginning, it was hard to tell them apart from gas or tummy rumbling. They were very faint

twinges are probably the stretching. Flutters feel like little gas bubbles or like popcorn popping.

I thought it felt like popping and tickling. Honestly the first time I felt it, I thought that I had a strand of my hair stuck on the inside of my shirt because it was like a tickle.

I'm ecstatic. Especially now that I realize I'm having twinges AND flutters.
The first time I felt a flutter (sometime last week - I think Friday) I stopped dead in my tracks because it was just the STRANGEST thing I'd ever felt. And it was right behind my belly button...DH was like "what happened!" and I said I don't know...it didn't hurt but that was SO WEIRD!
Now I know.
