How do you know when your DC was starting to self wean from BF?

DD is 9.5 months and nurses 3-4 times a day. Lately, I guess the past week she doesn't have any interest in eating at her 8am nursing (she is getting up at 5/5:30 for a session). I know part of the problem is that DS is around and he is more interesting than my boob. I can't go into another room because he just follows me. Is this the start of self weaning?

From what I've read, a baby doesn't self wean that early. Here is an article from kellymom that addresses weaning.
