How do you know which WW plan is better for you?
So I decided that I will join WW online and buy a scale and really stick to a plan. How do you know if the core or flex plan is better for you. My biggest problem lately (I guess the last 3 weeks or so) all I want to do is drink coffee and eat anything with sugar. I have thrown out all the cakes and the cookies we have I don't like. I did do WW 4 years ago with the flex plan and I lost the weight almost immediately. The only thing is I worked and I felt it was easier for me to be disciplined.

Most of the time you will find me doing flex, however I absolutely love core. I just find it hard to work it into my week when I have a lot of social engagements going on.
Last week I was EXTREMELY bloated due to numerous reasons. I also found that I was drinking too much coffee and eating too many processed foods (lean cuisines etc.). I did core this week and it really flushed me out and lost a ton of weight - I also cut out coffee and diet soda as well.
Anyway my point is, if you find yourself using your points on things that aren't so great for you try switching to core for a week. I love the freedom of being able to eat whenever I am hungry and not being restricted by points.
Don't know if this helps any?

I do flex, but I try to use the majority of my points on core food. I don't trust myself not to overeat if I'm not counting, and I do like the freedom the flex plan gives as far as food choices go. But, core foods are obviously healthier, so I mostly try to stick with them.

my biggest issue is portion control. Flex is the plan that attacks that head on. I wouldn't trust myself to stop when I should on core.

Core is healthier foods but more planning and work. On core, you get 35 points per week to be used for non core foods. This can go fast.
Flex gives you the option of eating more foods with portion control. I find that I switch between the plans. I spend more time on flex but go to core for a week or two every now and then. It gets me back into eating healthier foods. You might want to try each plan for a week and see which works best for you. It's fine to switch between them as long as you stay on for at least a week. Just switch on your weigh in day.

Thanks everyone.
This is a great explanation and I didn't know you could switch back and forth.
