How do you make oatmeal for your toddler/preschooler?
I want to put oatmeal back into DD's breakfast rotation now that it's getting cooler out. She doesn't like the instant packages and I'm OK with that as it has so much sugar.
Can I make a batch from real oats and refrigerate or freeze it?

I'm not sure if you can freeze oatmeal.
You can just get a big container of the instant oatmeal and make it in the microwave like you would the packet kind.

I agree with the previous poster. i would't suggest making ahead. doesn't it get all gooey? I make instant for DS. 2.5 min in the microwave w/ 1/2 c. milk.

They way we all eat is cook Real Oats on the stove with water, brown sugar, raisins and cinnamon. Sometimes we alternate the brown sugar with honey and or eliminate raisins...
