I just boiled it according to directions on box and added a little butter after I drained it.

Re: How do you make pastina Please help for the little ones???

I make it a few ways.

I boil the pasta - after 5-6 minutes - i remove some water and add an egg to it and cook it some more till it becomes creamy.

I boil peas and carrots separately. Then I mash them up in the blender. While the pasta is boiling I add the mixture to the pasta - so she has pastina w/veggies. You can add any veggies/meats etc.

If i don't have any veggies in the house - ill just boil the pasta and add a chicken/beef bouilen to it for flavor. I usually add 1/2 the boillen and 2.5 tbsp of pastina for my 10 month old.

You add the egg to the boiling water? Then what? Do you drain it when it's done?

Sometimes I will scramble an egg and add the cooked pastina w/ a little cheese and mix it all together.

Well - what I do is - I remove water from the pastina so that not too much water is left in the pot and its mostly pastina. I then scramble an egg and poor it onto the pastina still in the pan and cook it some more until it become creamy - its so good!! Julia loves it.
My doctor told me to introduce yolks first, then whites to Julia when she was 9 months old. So far so good.
