How do you NOT tell people when you're super sick
As you know I've had bad MS and have spent most of my short pregnancy in bed. People are bugging me to hang out and others are just getting worried. I feel like I'm running out of excuses. My aunt got so upset at hearing I'm sick every time she called that my mom told her.
How did you get through it?

Re: How do you NOT tell people when you're super sick
I wasn't getting sick but been pregnant numerous times and I learned people can suspect all they want. You don't owe anyone an explanation. I had people thinking I was probably pregnant .... making comments behind my back...... if you don't confirm it, it's all just speculations. I'd just let people wonder.

How do you NOT tell people when you're super sick
Honestly, I didn't tell anyone I was sick. I just tried my hardest to act as normal as possible. My two closest friends and our parents knew I was pregnant so they understood but I kept it a secret otherwise. Work was difficult at times but luckily every time I had to throw up, no one else was in the bathroom. Other than the fact that I drank ginger ale and ate sour patch kids a lot(they helped with nausea for some reason), no one could really tell the difference. I felt like garbage, but I tried not to let on to others that I felt that way.

How do you NOT tell people when you're super sick
I was like you. I was SO sick I couldn't get off the couch. I would ONLY go to people's houses that I could run to a different bathroom and throw up if I needed to away from others. If I had a "good day" and that means like throwing up twice instead of ten times, I would call someone and try to make plans. Eventually I had a zofran pump attached to me so I couldn't hide it and had to just make up excuses. I would ignore phone calls and call back days later. I would just say I already have plans with DH's family or my family. Family functions are the BEST excuse, no one is the wiser.

Re: How do you NOT tell people when you're super sick
I have stomach problems normally so when I said that my stomach was acting up it didn't surprise anyone.
However, apparently once people saw me they knew. After we told people many were like, "Yeah we knew... you looked like crap!" lol.
It was also the middle of winter during my 1st trimester so it was easier to not see people. It only got hard when we went to functions (christenings etc.) and I barely had anything but bread and juice which is VERY unlike me. I tried to not make it too obvious so I still put food on my plate, I just pushed it around. I felt like I was 5 again lol.

Re: How do you NOT tell people when you're super sick
I get migraines so I can also claim a migraine to mix it up a little.
I haven't left the house. I have a family function next week. I don't know if/how I'll be able to get through that. I better get the preggie pops without the sticks so it's not so obvious.
I could kill my MIL. We told her. I feel like death warmed over and she keeps telling me how great it is that I am losing weight.

We had our nieces Christening when we were 8 weeks and had to hid it. Surprisingly enough I didn't feel all that bad until after we go home but I did eat light and suck on preggie pops. I also had water on my at all times. I just told them my cluster headache medication needs me to drink double the amount of water.
Sounds like something my MIL would say. I lost 12 lbs in the first 2 months. She finally stopped when I was hospitalized for 4 days and realized that it was no bueno.
