how do you organize your clothes?

I always fold my jeans, shirts, skirts.

is there a better method?

I fold my jeans, sweaters, and shirts. I lay them out nicely on the shelves in my closet. Jeans by themselves, sweaters by themselves, and shirts by themselves.

I hang mostly everything except t-shirts and PJs.

Everything else goes in the closet...then here comes the crazy person part....I do the shirts by sleeveless, short sleeves, long sleeves. Then by color.
Pants whether casual or work - then by color.

I have issues.

In a ball on the floor Just kidding, just kidding. I like to hang all of my work pants and shirts so that they don't get wrinkled. Then I just put the rest of my pants on the top shelf in my closet and my shirts and pjs in my dresser.

Jeans are folded and put in the drawer.

Sweaters and un-hangable shirts are folded and kept in the armoire.

Button-down shirts and dry-clean shirts are hung in the closet.

Work pants (mostly dry-clean) are hung in the closet.

My clothes are organized by "function".
For example in my closet:
All of my pants are in one section, jackets in another, long-sleeve shirts in another section, dresses in another section, going-out clothes in another section.

i have 2 closets - 1 has bottoms
skirts hanging and pants hanging. jeans and shorts folded in the top shelf part

the floor of that has ny flip flops and sneakers

the other has tops like button downs, slut tops and suits nad dresses those are all hanging

the top pat pf that closet has my dressy shoes
the bottom part has my work shoes/heels


then i have a 4 drawer dresser with underwear top drawer, 2nd drawer is the black drawer with all black shirts or cardigans, 3rd drawer is the blue green beige drawer, 4th drawer is the red pink purple drawer

I have DS clothes organized but not mine...

I'm a little OCD about my clothes.

Undies/Bras/Stockings - one drawer
Jeans (folded) another drawer
Slacks/pants - another drawer
Nightwear - another drawer
T-shirts - another drawer
Casual cotten type tops/turtlenecks, etc. - another drawer

Closet - anything goes but it must be in color order (pinks w/pinks, reds w/reds, etc.)

Hung up - Work Pants by color, casual pants by length & color, Jeans. Work shirts, casual shirts, going out shirts. Light jackets, Dresses & skirts by length.

Folded in armoire - Pj's bras, underwear, socks, T's, sweaters, sweatshirt.

In my old place everything got hung in the closet, with the exception of casual pajamas & underthings. Our house does not have the same closet space (damned ranch!) and I have to use an armoire. I still try to get as much into my closet as possible, but I do fold my jeans into the armoire, along with casual tee shirts & tanks and things of rougher material. Like my camo.

I hang skirts, work pants and almost all of my shirts. I keep alll of the shirts together, all skirts together, etc.

I fold in baskets my t-shirts

shorts are in a draw

sweats in a drawer

my closet is organized by pants, blouses, jackets, dresses
