How do you prepare Salmon?
My mom gave me a nice sized piece of fresh salmon.
Please share some basic recipes!
Thanks!

Re: How do you prepare Salmon?
i found this on allrecipes.com
2 cloves garlic, minced 6 tablespoons light olive oil 1 teaspoon dried basil 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped 2 (6 ounce) fillets salmon
DIRECTIONS In a medium glass bowl, prepare marinade by mixing garlic, light olive oil, basil, salt, pepper, lemon juice and parsley. Place salmon fillets in a medium glass baking dish, and cover with the marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator about 1 hour, turning occasionally. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Place fillets in aluminum foil, cover with marinade, and seal. Place sealed salmon in the glass dish, and bake 35 to 45 minutes, until easily flaked with a fork.

Re: How do you prepare Salmon?
I usually rub it with olive oil, salt and pepper, and maybe a little bit of Sazon. I bake it in foil and then squeeze some lemon on it.

Re: How do you prepare Salmon?
Rub a little olive oil on it, sprinkle dill on it, cut one lemon into slices and lay it on. Then I cook it in the rotisserie. Comes out PERFECT.

Re: How do you prepare Salmon?
coarse salt, coarse pepper, lemon, garlic, onion powder and some light butter and I bake it on 400 for about 20 minutes depending on how thick the fillet is.
I also grill it on a wood plank and use a smokehouse blend of spices.

Re: How do you prepare Salmon?
i do it a little more simple and quick.. I put a pad of butter on the top as i keep med temp on the stove and squeeze fresh lemon juice and flip and do the same on the other side until its cooked throughout.
It comes out tasting very good.. butter makes everything better :O)

Re: How do you prepare Salmon?
1 inch fresh ginger grated 6 Tbsp honey 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice 4 Tbsp light soy sauce 2 tsp Dijon mustard
This is a good amount for 2 big fillets.
Whisk ingredients together and place with salmon in bowl. Let marinate for 30-40 minutes in fridge.
Place each piece of salmon in foil and pour marinade over it and wrap up.
You can cook on the BBQ or in the oven. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork. I can't give an exact time because it depends on your oven / BBQ.
