How do you remove the tags from throw pillows?

If you cut them, you can never cut close enough and there's always a thin stump of tag left over.

If you pull them, you risk ripping the pillow and having little tufts of white stuffing peeking out.

What to do????

I can do basic sewing, so I cut open the stich and the sew it back up. It makes me nuts to see any part of the white tag, and after many ripped pillows I just make more work for myslef.

I just cut the tag as close as I can and then position the pillow so that you can't see the stump.. after that, I just hope for the best. LOL

Yeah, that's my usual course of action, too. I'm not as handy as Jenn up there, I don't know about ripping out the stitches and re-stitching the pillow... knowing me, I'd screw it up so bad, it would have looked better with the tag on. Thanks for the advice, though!
