How do you store baby food after you open it? Do you put it in the fridge?

We've been giving DS cereal for about 1 week. We want to introduce bananas this weekend. We will probably only use about half of the Gerber 1 container.

Can I just leave this out and use it the next day? Do I put it in the fridge? If I put it in the fridge, do you heat it up?

Sorry, I have no idea what I am doing.

It says on the container. But fridge it and toss after a day or two.

I think you'll be surprised at how much he will eatChat Icon

Do you heat it after you refrigerate it or serve it cold?

The container says try to use in 1 serving but you can refrigerate it for 2-3 days.

I used to keep it in the fridge, 2 days or so if need be. I used to put the container in a bow of hot water for a min or 2 just to take the chill out of it.Chat Icon

i put it in the fridge and didn't warm it up - just gave it cold - or would keep it out a few minutes before giving it to him.

i would warm it but be very careful using the microwave. check for hotspots. I used to mix it with my finger after heating to even out the heat and to test it.

As PPs mentioned, you need to refrigerate it after opening. I think they last about 3 days in the refrigerator. If you think you'll have food left over, make sure you don't feed DS directly from the jar b/c of bacteria concerns.
