How do you store the stuff they grow out of?

I packed away the last 7 months of clothes in one of those big rubbermaid tubs. If I put it in the attic, will they be OK, or will they be damaged from weather changes or moths or something? I want the stuff to last about 5 years. How do you store the old clothes so they'll be in good shape for the next on or hand me downs?

I used space saver bags. I'm hoping they really work. I have a very small opening to my attic so I couldn't fit a bin. Chat Icon

I use the space saver bags too. I separated the clothes by size too, so they will be easy to get to if I or anyone else needs them in the future.

That's what I did too. And they are in my basement and attic. I am sure they will be fine. I store my own clothes and always have in the attic and they are fine.

Right now I have two rubbermaid bins packed with his stuff. I am storing them in his closet but will eventually move them to the basement. We have a dehumidifier down there so I am hoping that it will be okay.

I have them in those huge ziploc storage bags. They are still in his room. Have to get DH to bring them up to the attic.

Are the space saver bags expensive? Do they hold a lot? Where did you get them?

I give them to a co-worker who has a little boy who is 3 months younger and she LOVES it.

I use the Rubbermaid tubs and some vacuum bags. We store everything in the attic and we haven't had any problems.

I bought them from Linen & Things. I think it was about $20.00 for 4 bags. I can't remember. I used a coupon too. I'm sure a lot of stores have themChat Icon

I'm using totes & storing them in the basement, I believe they are airtight so they should be fine. Maybe the bags would be better? Chat Icon

We have stored them in the attic in rubbermaid tubs. It should be okay.

Chat Icon Chat Icon I've been taking this approach lately. I have 3 big tuckers under my bed, since I have NO storage room. I think I'll invest in the bags. and go that route. Maybe my mom can put them in her basement Chat Icon
