How do you store your shoes

All in shoe boxes? Only the expensive ones in boxes? No boxes at all?

all shoes have a plastic shoe box that i bought. most don't stay in them b/c i'm always in a rush but they all have a box.

some shoes are too big for 1 box so each shoe has its own box.

I did want to take a pic of the shoes and place it on the outside, then i would probally not have the problems I do, with opening half the boxes before finding the right shoe

I have clear plastic shoe boxes that I bought from the container store. They're stacked in my closet.

All of the above. Some boxes I saved and store the shoes in, some shoes are in clear plastic boxes and some are just under my bed. No rhyme or reason to it either

When I get a walk in closet, each pair will go in a clear box. Until then, they are in a rubbermaid under-bed clear bin with wheels. The REALLY good ones are in shoe bags.

no boxes for shoes unless I get duplicates of a shoe I love (yes, I do this ). I have them all placed neatly on shevles.

but I do keep my tall boots in their boxes.

Mine are in 2 large laundry baskets at the bottom of my closet one for summer, one for everything else. I really don't have room for tons of boxes.

Under my bed in a gaint jumbled pile.

Or all over the floor of my house and under tables in different rooms for the ones I wear frequently.

Mine are in the original boxes on shelves on the back wall of my closet. Shelved by category: flats, sandals, espadrilles etc

Both my DH & I have a closet shelving system for our shoes. I do have 2 of my black dress shoes (I rarely wear) in the original boxes.

At the end of the season I swap out the shoes & put the prior seasons in a big Rubbermaid tub & store it in the spare closet in our gym.

summer shoes are now in a big plastic bucket. such a PITA to find a pair since they are all just thrown in together. boots are now stored in boxes on closet shelves. once boot season arrives i will put the bucket of summer shoes on closet shelf and line boots on floor.

not the most organized method and i don't not recommend.

i have most of my shoes in their original boxes on shelves in my closet. if they didnt come in a box (bought in tjmaxx or marshalls) i bought clear plastic shoe boxes for them.
sorted by color. hehe

I used to keep them in the original boxes but it just got to be too much. I bought 2 of those shoe holders that hang from your door and I keep them in there. No mess and it's easy to find what I need.

I have more floor space & less hanging space in my current closet, so I have something like this.


I don't have any really fancy shoes & I can't deal with boxes for things I wear all the time.

Majority are in their original boxes. Flip flops and flats are in one big clear platic container.

Most of my shoes & boots are kept in their orginal boxes. I also print out color photos of each pair and tape it to the box.

Flip-flops, sneakers and the boots/shoes I wear regularly are lined up on my closet floor.
