my doctor said that place your entire hand under your ribcage and when it can sit completely flat, that is when you have dropped!

yep, all the sudden, you'll have more room between the top of your belly and your bra...
I've also noticed that as the baby drops more and more, your ankles get larger and larger

standing is fine. but if you've really dropped it will work sitting too...but you probably won't be able to sit with your legs closed.

Take a picture every day and compare them. I had taken one on Monday, one on Wednesday and went into labor on Friday. Looking back at them I dropped Wednesday compared to Monday - I could have known!
