DH usually sees them to give them the tip.
Our guys actually leave a little postcard in our mailbox with an address PO Box to send a gift to should we not see them. Seriously...they do!

We leave too early to see them in the morning, but we are both off on Friday, which is one of our pick-up days and will give it to them then. They come at 7, so I'm hoping my DH will be the one to get up

I kind of wish ours did that!
I taped it to the bottom of the lid today. I worked from home on Friday and hoped to catch them then but, they didn't come. I was frustrated because we had two full cans AND I was home to give them their tip. The lady next door is nice and takes our cans in while we're at work so if they don't take it for some reason, she will notice it (they should take it because they always put the lids in the cans upside down after they pick the garbage up).

Mine come around 5:40AM and are so loud, I hate them! they honk their horn, they have woken my children numerous time
