How do you travel if your child is too long for pnp, but not yet in toddler bed?
I see the pnp says it's only for children up to 35 inches. Is this for standing issues or sleeping issues? I'm trying to figure out what to do when we go to visit family. Is it okay to let him curl up a little for a night or two?
Also, what do we do once he's in a toddler bed? How do you travel without them falling out of bed?
ETA: DS is young, so I'm initially looking for something for kids under 18 months. Thanks! I'm also not going to a hotel, so we can't rent a crib. It's family's homes.

I believe and I am not 100% sure - that most places have bed rails, you can attach to a regular bed.
But I also have to say - right now (well the last time we checked at the doctor) my DD hasn't hit the 35" mark and she is almost 2

I've never traveled with a PnP. I just put Ella in bed with us (something we never do at home).

My 3yr old we just let him sleep with us (however at home he sleeps in his own bed) and my 1yr old they usually have a crib at the hotel you can use. If they didn't I would probably just let him sleep with us as well. I hated bringing the pnp with us, it's just so big and my children really never slept well in it anyway.

How tall is he exactly?
Frankly, if he's only a few inches taller, I'd just let him sleep in the PNP.

Re: How do you travel if your child is too long for pnp, but not yet in toddler bed?
I put DS in a PNP that the hotel provides. I request it in advance. I bought him a mattress for it that fits on the bottom of my suitcase to make it a bit more comfy. He will be two next week and still sleeps in the PNP at my MIL house as well. He is definitely 35" or bigger and is fine. I do however get nervous that he will climb out and he's in a toddler bed at home.

How long is he?
My DD is 23 months and about 34 inches long, when we travel down to NY she sleeps in a pnp with a small pillow and still has room.
He'd def be too big for a porta crib, my DD's grew out of those at 6 months old. Besides getting a full size crib at the place you are staying, i think a pnp would be your best bet or putting bedrails on a twin/full size bed.

This is what I was wondering. I figure, for a few nights, it's not too bad. He's 8 months now and 31 inches. I know his growth should stop soon, but we thought that before he was born too. I'm just trying to figure out what to do when we go to visit family upstate later this year. Thanks!
