How do you turn off the chat feature on Facebook?
I looked up and down all of the settings and couldn't find how to disable the instant messaging feature.

Click on the little icon and hit "go offline"

lower right hand corner of the screen -- where the little person is there with a green dot--click on it and put "go offline"
