How do you wash your bras?

I hand wash them in Woolite, soak for 15 minutes, actually put in a bit of Oxyclean while soaking, and rinse. It does a pretty good job but am wondering if anyone has any great tips. Also, anyone buy the lingerie bag and wash their bras in the washing machine? I've always wondered if that does a good job.

Thanks!

I just put them in the wash with the rest of my clothes. Than I hang dry them.

I put them in a lingerie bag and wash them in the machine- but on the handwash setting.
Then I hang to dry.

Where did you get the bag? Do you think it does a good job? I'm thinking of going this route. It's pretty time consuming and wasteful to hand wash each bra.

Same here. I hang the lacey ones to dry, but the t-shirt material ones stay in the lingerie bag in the dryer. It definitely washes them as well as if they weren't in the bag at all. I don't know where mine is from though- it was in my wishing well at my bridal shower.

Bed Bath and Beyond has them
And I am sure Target might too

It does a fine job- and it's so much easier than hand washing.

i got one from SOMA.. i had one of those 25 off 100 coupons and i was a few bucks short of being able to use the coupon so i grabbed a lingerie bag by the register and its GREAT. i had one from target also but the holes were bigger and the bra hooks would get stuck in them.

Same here. You can get them in the grocery store or any dollar store. They are usually in the same aisle as the laundry detergent.

Definetly will be switching over to machine wash. I knew this was the way to go, but wasn't quite sure how. Will be purchasing a bag to throw in with the laundry. Ready to save time and $!

Thanks for all the responses and keep them coming!

Re: How do you wash your bras?

I used to use a lingerie bag but have since gotten lazy... Now I just put them in on a hand wash or delicate cycle with detergent made for delicates. I wash them in cold water and then line dry. They come out great!

No, you're not! Chat Icon That's why I asked. I feel like there's a better way to do it. Based off the recommendations, I'm going to try the lingerie bag. It's got to be better and easier than hand washing.

I put them in a lingerie bag and throw them in with the regular wash. I hang them to dry though. I've been doing it that way for years and they seem to hold up well.

Lingerie bag with a load of clothes. Cold water. Then hang dry.

I put all "hand wash" items in the lingerie bag with the regular laundry, then hang dry. They come out great!
