How do your Rx deliveries work?
I have Caremark/CVS Speciality as coverage. I am doing an IUI this month. My Dr. didn't put the Rx for Ovidrel in until late Friday (Day 10 of my cycle...I usually O Day 14). I called Saturday morning to schedule delivery but they were closed for the weekend. I call today and they can't do same day delivery (even though I probably need to trigger today...waiting on results from monitoring this morning).
This is my 3rd IUI. The first month, the dr's office let me borrow Ovidrel and then when I got mine delivered, I just "repaid" them with mine. The 2nd month, I was able to get delivery on a weekend. Now this month, I feel like I'm stuck. Nobody is home during the day, my dr. office won't accept responsibility for delivery bc they close by 3 and there is no delivery window, it can't be shipped to a neighborhood CVS b/c it's a controlled substance and NY state doesn't allow it, and I can't get it shipped to my job b/c I work in a school so I'm gone by 4:00. With no delivery window, they make it so difficult. It's also annoying that my Dr doesn't call it in until the last minute. I feel like they should just do it when they send the script for the Clomid which is at the beginning of my cycle.
Does everyone deal with this issue or is just me? My friends that have done IVF get their meds delivered at night same day...but they pay OOP since they don't have coverage.

How do your Rx deliveries work?
I would put a fedex hold on my deliveries, leave work and go get them. My doctor would send in my script for everything then I would call. I had the ovidrel in my fridge for a few days to be honest waiting for my call to trigger

I'd much rather have it waiting for me in my fridge than stressing about how to get it delivered.
Do you use CVS/Caremark too? Last month it was UPS that delivered. Putting a hold on deliveries is a good idea...thank you!

It's been a while but I don't remember having these issues when I used Caremark 3 years ago. However, I also didn't order any meds during a cycle. My RE would order everything I needed before I started to cycle. I would ask him to give you the script for the Ovidrel along with all your other meds at the beginning. GL!

Thank you! That's how I feel it should be...ordered before! I am leaving this clinic for a few different reasons so hopefully I get my BFP this month! If not, I will know to bring up these concerns with my new Dr. next month.

Re: How do your Rx deliveries work?
I'm supposed to trigger tonight and guess what, no Ovidrel! And they don't have any to lend me. And my delivery isn't coming until tomorrow. They are calling some more offices to see if anyone has one to lend me.
I was already planning on leaving after this cycle but this just cements the deal for me.

It's LIIVF.
I would have to pay OOP with Kraupner, right? Or would they take my insurance? And the Dr would have to call it in I guess? They close in a few minutes.
