How does this outfit sound for a baby shower?
It's at a restaurant in Astoria:
Brown and pink tunic Khaki capris (pretty long ones, they hit the bottom of my calf) ballet flats or pink sandals, depending on the weather.
It's the first weekend in April so I'm hoping it's warm. Does this sound fancy enough?
Edited for pic:
This is the only pic I could find. Mine is not plus sized like the pic, so the patterning on mine comes out different. I only have the pink circle in the middle and not at the shoulders. So mine looks much less busy than hers. Also, I'm short. So mine comes down a bit longer. More like a tunic than a shirt.

Is it your baby shower?
The shirt isn't my fav, but it def sounds/looks dressy enough. I think you may be chilly in a short sleeve top and capri's for the first week in April though.

I really don't like the shirt in the picture though. I feel like it looks like a totally different shirt on me, if that makes sense. I was almost hesitant to post the picture.

do you know the name of the place in Astoria...also, what time does it start?
ETA: I am generally opposed to "dressing up" khakis for any event other than work.
it never looks special enough, IMVHO.

Palermo restaurant. Late morning, so not an evening thing.

Is it a fashion faux paus to wear this brown shirt with black pants? I think it is. I don't have ANY fancy pants or solid skirts other than a pair of black pants. I"m also not in the market to buy more. If not, I'll wear the pants with another shirt I have that will go with black.

That sounds fine for a morning shower. I went to a brunch shower last weekend and half the people were wearing jeans.. .khakis should be fine!

I would wear brown leggings instead with flats... I think it dresses it up a little more, but still comfy.

this is good.
or what about a pair of dark jeans with heels?
though if you like khakis go for it...they don't like me (never have found a flattering pair LOL) so I don't like them
eta: not sure if it's a faux pas, but I hate black and brown together....
