How does your DC behave when getting their hair cut?
Thank goodness I know how to cut hair (was a hairdresser back in the day) because my DS (19 months) HATES getting his hair cut and I would feel so bad to whoever had to cut his hair. Oh my goodness...I have to finish cleaning up the sides and bangs when he falls asleep. When he was younger around 12 months I had no problem but now he knows exactly what I'm doing and doesn't like it.
Does your DC enjoy getting their haircut?

My DD screamed and cried and tried to wiggle away.. We did a quick trim in back first time, then bangs the second.. both were quick thank god.

Re: How does your DC behave when getting their hair cut?
i'm a hairstylist and i have to say that my kids were horrible too!!! i used to have to put them in the bathroom sink so they couldn't wriggle around!!! it was torture till they were around 3 even 3 1/2. i have a lot of clients with little kids and none of them sit! i have to bribe them with lollipops sing elmo and yo gabba gabba. but i get a great haircut!!!! hang in there it does get better!!! just expect it to not go so well and then one day he'll surprise you!! try bribery!!! go to the dollar store and get some cars or pops or little balls or something. let him hold them! it's something new to keep him occupied on something other than getting the haircut!! bribery always works for me!!!!!!

I think I got lucky cause he has been really great about it , and he needs cuts often ( every 5-6 weeks). He doesnt mind and we just started using a buzzer which makes it go faster. Maybe he will grow out of fear of it

The first time we took DS it was a nightmare! He cried the whole time!!! After that it got so much better. I recently took him and he now laughs when the buzzer comes out..LOL He loves "driving" the jeep that the kids sit in to have their hair cut.

DS cried the first time, but ever since then he sits there perfectly still and happy and even asks to go for a haircut!

Mine are still not happy about getting it done. The last few times they didn't cry, but were still not happy about it. They are almost 4.

I could have written this word for word except my DS is almost 3 now. He is only just now accepting that he has to get a haircut, but only I can cut it and I usually have to bribe him. I have tried those kids places, he hated it and those "professionals" did a worse job than I did. My best friend who DS loves, is a hairdresser and he won't let her do it either. I do an ok job, but my skills are rusty so I always get nervous that I will screw it up. Good thing is he has a ton of hair and it grows like a weed so even if I mess up it grows back fast. Lol!

DS was pretty bad for a while. Luckily, we just used a buzzer with an offset, so we could basically hold the buzzer in one spot and he would move his head all around for us...
He's been fine for the last few years. We take him to a hairdresser. I think he likes to flirt with the women there....
