how does your dc wake up from naps(smiles or cries)
sometimes my ds wakes up from naps all smiles and "talkative" and other times he's hysterical crying.

If we are not at the crib when he wakes up (after he finishes his cooing) then he starts to cry to get our attention (stops the minute we pick him up - I swear I hear him say "sucka"). If we are there he smiles, scootches his butt and wiggles around.

Most of the time for naps he's crying but in the morning he is happy and cooing..go figure

Megan almost ALWAYS wakes up smiling and laughing. Its rare that she doesnt.

95% of the time he wakes up all smiles. Sometimes, something will wake him up out of his sleep and he will be hysterical. I assume he has a bad dream or something?! He then usually goes back down to finish napping though once he has calmed down.

Depends upon how the nap was -if he is still tired ,cries but sometimes he wakes up and plays with his crib toys for awhile and then I go in after a bit to get him.

normally he wakes from a nap in a really great mood, but today.. oh man... screaming hissy fit boy  I wish he would have stayed napping

He wakes up pretty mellow and likes hanging out in his crib for a bit, playing with his toys in there.
He's been this way since he was pretty little, but there were times when he was a baby and he woke up crying. I think it has to do with where they were in their sleep cycle, how long they slept, etc.

DD #1 - crying or yelling for mommy or daddy.
DD #2 - not a peep. I have to check the monitor or go in her room to see if she is awake. It's a little scary.

He gets up talking to himself. That is how I know he is up. He goes down his entire list of words he knows. mama, baba, dada, tree, doggie, etc.

most of the time she wakes up smiley and just plays with her toys in the crib or PNP but there have been times when she woke up with a lil squeel, would see me and smile immed.

Victoria is great at waking up and smiling. She can lie in her pnp or crib for awhile just looking around and as soon as she sees me - the biggest smiles ever come out on her face

DS wakes up with smiles from ear to ear from both his naps an din the morning.
Maybe when your DS wakes up crying, its becseu he woke up before he was ready to? Maybe a noise woke him up an dhe is still sleepy?

I always know that she didn't finish her nap if she's crying. I often don't rush in and get her and sometimes she'll go back to sleep. If she's had a complete nap....I get BIG smiles!
