how exactly does zillow.com work?
i'm looking to find prices of other homes in my neighborhood.
i've been day-dreaming about some changes i would like to make around here, but i don't want to update myself out of the market.
granted, i won't be making these changes right away, but i'd like a ball-park figure.

i find it to be extremly inaccurate for actual home values, however the recent home sales are correct.
I like propertyshark.com too.

they use the tax assessed values for your house. I paid $75K less than the assessed value for my house. so it depends. for my house, its overvalued.

zillow had my almost new house at 80,000 less than it appraised for  it actually made me worry that we weren't getting a good deal but i'd say we did!
