How far in advance to book flights?
Wondering when you typically get the best deal on airfare? We are flying from CO to FL in October (5 months from now) and the flights are over $400 each. Wondering if I should pull the trigger or wait in hopes they will come down a bit. They were $375 two months ago. UGH.

I book as early as possible, and also to get seats closer to the front of the plane. I've never found the fare to go down.
I also book with the airlines directly.
That's just me and the way I do things.
I booked my July St. Thomas airfare back in November. I missed the $293 and paid $388. It's up to $1120 for economy super saver.

If you book with JetBlue, you can monitor the prices...if they drop, they will give you a credit for the difference - you just have to call them

I have been stralking websites since Jan for my Nov trip. We just booked yesterday for PR and now I am stalking again to get my MIL to PR.
