How far would you travel for a party?
Emma is turning 5 next month and she wants to cook for her party. Make pizzas and cupcakes. I found Young Chefs Academy in Coram... thing is we are about 30 minutes from there. Her little school friends would be 30-45 minutes from there. Is that asking too much? For one of the other girls in her class they went to Boomers. Its exit 65 on the LIE and YCA is exit 63 then down Rt 83 a bit. I love living out east but Im so limited!!

Depends. FOr me, I travel for an hour sometimes just for a playdate, so it wouldn't bother me.

Re: How far would you travel for a party?
Hmmm, I know what you mean I live out east too. What about finding a party company that would come to you instead, at your home?
ETA- Isn't YCA expensive too?

GOTCHA LOL!
ETA: That's a whole lot of kids, I think when you live on the east end, a half hours drive is the usual minimum to get anywhere anyway LOL!

There is also a Little Chef's in Plainview (or Woodbury, I forget) I'm not sure if that's closer then where you are talking about.

I usually feel that way about gingerbread too, but it says for summer they do summer houses with pools, whales, sharks, etc. which is different.
Can you see if a local pizzeria or kid friendly restaurant would let the kids come in to make their own pies? Or maybe a bakery to do little cakes?

I think that sounds like a great idea!
I've traveled 30 minutes for a kid party. I don't think that's too far.

Re: How far would you travel for a party?
To me 30-45 minutes is not a big deal. As long as there is no traffic...
