How funny is this???
DH received a $2.00 check from his job for grand jury service he did. He laughed when he got it, but I told him, "Hey it's money..go deposit it". So..he went to deposit it.
He calls me and says "they are holding the check for 24 hours. I guess I'm not good for $2.00".
What the? Have you ever heard of such nonsense??

That's hilarious!
What bank does that? I just deposited a $5,000 personal check and the funds were available same day...
I would have deposited the check, though. I got a $5 check from Geico (reimbursement for early payment of the full policy) and we recently got a $0.56 check from somewhere else (can't recall offhand...) We deposited both. Hey, why not?
