How helpful is your DH???
He is pretty good about the feedings and helping me out, but does NOT want to change diapers He did once in the hospital...I guess Jay is not a big goo goo gaa gaa baby person. I have a WONDERFUL MIL who come over every other day to let me sleep during the day but I cant no matter how tired I am. She does my laundry, and brings over food, so she has been a big help. She even made me leave the house and just go get a manicure to get away....but i didnt. I just went for a drive

Re: How helpful is your DH???
DH is very helpful. I also have a MIL who comes over almost every day to let me sleep. Take the sleep!!!! I shut off all sounds and close my bedroom door and try to think about nothing. IT will make you such a better mommy and in such a better mental state. I went and got a manicure one day and went to the mall last weekend. You need to do this mentally or you will go crazy.
Sooner or later your DH will have to change the diapers. There is no way around it. So I would push him on it if you can. It takes a village and them some to raise twins.
Hang in there.....although my boys are only a few more weeks older then yours it does get better little by little.

Re: How helpful is your DH???
I am very blessed to have a ton of family to help us out. I do find it hard to sleep during the day... mainly because I want to be up and around and able to take care of everything. My DH is really great and helps out tremendously (even though his work schedule can get crazy). I totally agree with you, Ali. I think it is really important not only to rest but to get out when someone is at your house helping. I've been getting manicures and running to Target as an escape. It makes you feel much less trapped and less stressed as a result.

I am truly blessed in that area, my Dh is very helpful. To him its not "helping me" its his responsiblilty to take care of the babies.

Re: How helpful is your DH???
my dh has been great so far, very hands on w/ the diapers, baths, burping, and helping w/ the supplement bottle feeding. he's also been my slave, running to all the stores and doing things for me around the house and massaging my feet every night. i am just dreading him going back to work

Re: How helpful is your DH???
Everyone thought DH would do nothing when they were bonr, since he was never really a baby person, he tends to like them at the 2 year old mark, but once they were born he fell in love and does everything. He changes just as many diapers as I do maybe even more.
Could it be that they are so tiny he is scared he will break them, I know DH was very skiddish of our son in the NICU who was born at under 4 lbs, he felt like he would break him.
