how is all the pregnant mama on this board doing
I'm not due until September but it's still nerve wracking. I haven't left the house. Only for Drs. appointments. My DH is also nervous about me getting sick, or him getting sick and giving it to me. I'm happy I'm not due any time soon. I hope things are better by September.

yes, staying will keep you safe. I believe by the fall all will be better so you can have a happy, easy safe birth.

Re: how is all the pregnant mama on this board doing
I’m due in 5.5 weeks. I’ve had complete meltdowns over it. It started when the city started banning dads in the delivery rooms. But thankfully cuomo stopped that. I’ve already asked if I could leave within 24 hours if everything was ok and they said yes. I’m supposed to go every two weeks to my dr appts but the last appt I cried so they told me not to come back for a month. right now my main concern is keeping myself and my dh healthy. Dh was laid off for a couple weeks but he went back to work to help build one of the temporary hospitals. He’s working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for the next 2-3 weeks. There a TON of people working on it so I’m a psycho all day telling him not to forget to clean his hands, phone, keys etc. and of course when he comes home he has a routine too. It’s taking a toll mentally on me. I feel like a bad mom to my other kids. Ugh Sorry for the vent

Re: how is all the pregnant mama on this board doing
I had my twins 12 days ago. It was a rocky time from the moment I entered the hospital till the time I left. Lots of miscommunication amongst the hospital staff. My husband was not planning on staying, but I had a complication with my delivery so he stayed to help with my recovery. I waited an hour and a half for staff to help me while my husband fed the babies. He finally gave up and helped clean me. He had issues getting food. We were ready to get discharged 24 hours early when one of twins had to get rapid response and went to nicu, which was fortunate because had we left the hospital she might not lived. I ended up staying the last night to recover and visit my daughter in nicu and take care of my other twin. I was able to sleep a little that night. I have meltdowns every time I hear of someone giving birth at this time. My dh is a nurse and he goes back to work in a few days and I worry he will bring the virus home or get it himself.

If it helps there is a Facebook group to read up on what protocols are at each hospital, however that seems to change day by day.

Vent away!! I'm sure you're scared. I would be too. My office wants me to have direct patient contact starting now and I'm worried so I understand.
Just breath. My co-workers had her baby 2 weeks early. Her OB induced her last week.

Sounds like an unsettling stay glad you're home now. How are you feeling physically ? how are the twines doing and your older child?

I feel physically great. I am down to my wedding weight from 12 years ago. I am tired and exhausted. My twins are good. My toddler is adjusting and starting his terrible twos early. I keep telling myself my experience could have been worse.

Re: how is all the pregnant mama on this board doing
My one Sister in law gave birth last month and my other sister in law is due thus weekend. Sil who had the baby was induced on 3/10 eventhough the baby was due 3/20 and they were in and out within 36 hours. Her doctor wanted all patients he could to deliver early. They are at home and we have only zoomed to meet my niece. Sil who is due this weekend is panicking. I feel for her. We are supposed to take my nephew when she goes into labor. So we will meet them in a parking lot to transfer their son to us since they live in a highrise apartment building.

Just an update. I had my baby boy on May 15th. Everything was great in the hospital. I know numbers were down dramatically from April, but they definitely had everything worked out and I felt safe being there.
