How is it
That my 9.5 year old can loose his winter hat 3 times already in school.
I can't imagine where it could go?!  
So I did learn Target is having clearance on hats for $2. Cat and Jack. LOL
I need to invest in a few. Especially with these temps.

It's older kids, too.
After almost every Boy Scout meeting and campout, I wind up bringing at least one thing home that isn't mine... usually a bunch of things. I could start a Thrift Shop just from the things the boys "lose"....

How is it
My kids leave a trail! Last month my DD left her nice winter coat at a hotel we stayed at in the city. Never even thought about WEARING it out of the hotel and on the train home, ugh! My 20 year old son left his hat at a theater in NYC a couple of weeks ago. Never ends!

Does he take the bus? Often it's warm on the bus so they kids take items off. Just tell him to put his hat right into his backpack if he wants to take it off, wherever he is.

My DD forgets things, but everything gets back to us. I have most items labeled. I also keep extra gloves in her backpack for days she leaves gloves on the morning bus and needs them for recess.

I was totally that kid lol
Last year the school left all the winter jackets and hats/gloves, etc in the gym towards the end of the year for people to try and find what they lost. Im sure my parents told me to check the lost and found at school but i never did
