Ummm... right down there with Baldwin.
Again, I've had colleagues that taught there and left.
The only person I know from Amityville who had kids sent all 6 of his kids to Catholic school and his youngest is in his 20's.
IMO, keep looking.

FH student taught there- he said it was not a pleasant experience.
There are beautiful parts of amityville though - but if you buy there I would send your kids to private school, jmo.

I have many patients that live in Amityville & Amity Harbor. ALL of them send their kids to private school. I don't know anything about the school district itself though.

anyone I know that lives there went to private school as well. The rep of the public school is not very good.

I lived in Amity Harbor (down the block from Amityville HS), and all the kids in the area went to Private, or Catholic schools.

My friend lives in Copaigue Harbor - Grew up in Amityville - She went to private school, and her kids go to private school.
