How is this for irony

So I hated my last job. One boss in particular made me miserable. So after a year and a half. I left. I went to a different firm in the same field.

So a part of my new firm's job is to oversee other lawyers from different firms. Well my first assignment, to oversee my old firm on a case- and of course the contact person is that old boss of mine. Chat Icon

that really stinks. I mean, that's the reason you left. Can you say something?

Or, is it a power thing now with you?

I would rather not say something to my new boss. I mean, we left on good terms. He was just a difficult person to work with. Now, I am actually overseeing his work. Its just awkward- at least for me.

Its funny, my old boss is brilliant. He is so thorough and analytical, that overseeing him will be very easy. But he is just such a hard person to work under. He doesn't explain things, expects you to think the way he does, and shamse you if you didn't. If he had a different approach, I could have learned so much from him. In fact, even when I left I wished I had learned more from him. But his "teaching style" is with interrogation, shame, humiliation, and that is NOT how I learn.

I am just going to have to bite the bullet and call him. I am thinking of emailing him, but that may be too much of a cop out. I'll ask around to see if that is usually done around here.
