How late do kids Trick or Treat until?

I know when I was a kid we always went right after school. This is the first year in our house and we have seen quite a few kids around. I won't be home until 6:30pm on Halloween (I'm bummed).

Should I expect a few kids? I know each neighborhood is different but I'm just checking what some of you tend to see.

I'm buying candy regardless - between DH & I it won't go to wasteChat Icon

The older kids and kids whose parents work will usually come up till 9pm.

Yeah, Id say up to at least 9. But usually the later it gets, the older the kids.

I thin you might still see some kids, bit for safety, we usually stop answering the doorbell after it gets really dark.

I remember going right after school...however lately in my neighborhood I notice that we get alot of kids around 630 or 700...it may be different for everyone...alot of parents both work - so kids may have to wait until one of them is home...

I've never understood why they can't wait another week to turn back the clocks. It's an arbitrary day, anyway.

The kids are always trick-or-treating in darkness, when it was still light out at that time just a few days before.

I would say until about 9. I get home a little early that day if I can to see them all.

I love their little painted faces and costumes. I just bought candy last night.

At 11:00pm it's going to be trick. That's a little late for candy.

Next year it will be! Chat Icon

Starting 2007 changing the clocks in spring will be earlier and Fall later - November 4th 2007

To answer OP - I don't get trick or treaters, and I think we have a curfew in our town... I'll have to find out what it is.
