how long after delivery till you felt relatively "yourself"?
It's been almost 2 weeks and my boobs have gotten huge since I'm BF!! That along with the gut that I still have and my chubby arms, is making me feel so bad about myself. When can I start to feel somewhat "me" again?? Are my boobs going to keep getting bigger as I BF or now that my milk is in, is their new size?! I need to go bra shopping soon and don't want to waste money if I won't wear them long.

As soon as he was born. BUT I had hyperemsis and didn't gain any weight. I just needed him out of my body!

i didn't feel myself while i was breastfeeding. not only were my boobs constantly fluctuating in size, but i also found myself unable to lose those leftover 10-12 pounds. i couldn't stop eating, it was crazy.
at around 5 months pp i started weaning, and i started feeling myself again when AF came back a few weeks later. now that i've had my second AF i feel even more myself (at 7 months pp) - and the pounds are starting to come off by themselves. i fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans for the first time yesterday!!!
so i think that, at least for me, hormones had a lot to do with my keeping the weight on and not feeling quite myself.

I felt perfect 4 or 5 weeks pp...i remember being back to normal/normal size before my 6 week checkup. My boobs were just bigger from BFing. OH how I miss those boobs. Now that I stopped I think I'm smaller than before being preggo!

Id say about 5 weeks PP. DD is a great sleeper and that has helped tremendously with getting back to normal

Same with me. I remember when I hit the 4 week mark and I just felt like myself again. DS sleeps really really well and hardly cries or fusses so that helped. I also had tremendous help from my mom while I was on maternity leave so that allowed me time to get rest and feel better.

I would say that I was well on my way to feeling myself both emotionally and physically around 4 wks. I wan't perfect but feeling much better. Although my body wasn't (and still isn't) back to the way it was, I was wearing a few pairs of my regular pants. My shirts didn't fit because of my boobs though. My boobs were big but they were less sore and/or engorged. I also started getting out more and getting more sleep so I had more energy and more confidence in myself as a new mom.
You are just around the corner from it...hang in there!

Not there yet. DS is not fussy really, but he's not a good sleeper. I'm up every 2 hours - if I'm lucky. I have lots of weight to still lose and although I know I'll get there, right now I don't have the energy to really try to get there (but I don't want to "let myself go"). I still get dressed in the morning (in maternity jeans and a nursing tank and alternate the cardigan over it  ) and put on make-up, so I do feel "human", but not back to my old self.
You'll get there - it's a process (I hope!)

As far as weight, I'm still not back there (5 months pp), though I can finally fit into a loose pair of prepregnancy pants again. I have had thyroid issues and other medical problems though, so loosing weight became less of a priority at some point. Many people do drop it faster.
Mentally, when he started sleeping through the night steadily, around 3.5-4 months. I think that made a HUGE difference.

I started around 6 months after I stopped BFing.
I can say at 10 months PP that I really feel like myself now. It took me a while.

About 4wks from the physical pain of delivery and about 9mths before my boobs felt normal although I BF til a year.
