How long did it take for the seller to accept your offer?

We made an offer two days ago. They countered... we countered.... they countered.... we countered with a final offer. This was yesterday at 1:30 PM. We still have not heard back from the seller and are starting to think that they will not accept our offer

Yes- I actually just spoke to my REA after posting the question. It seems like we should know in the next hour or two!

It all depends...our sellers really strung us along, where I have friends that have had their offers accepted that day, so it's hard to say.

I would rec'd calling the r/e agent and asking them where the sellers stand.

We neotiated via phone (REA had the owner call us directly) and we negotiated a price within 5-10 min.

less than a half hour.

our back and fourth offer than counter, etc took 1 day total.

usually done within a day - but I know we held up an offer (from the buyers end) overnight because we had to figure some things out before agreeing, so it might be the same thing for your seller.

Took us almost a week, because our sellers were in Mexico, once they were back it took one more day of back and forth to agree on a price! GOOD LUCK!

We bid on a house two months ago and literally took them 4 weeks to tell us our offer was accepted (which we denied it anyways). Too many issues with it and not worth our time and money.

Its been on for 2 years.......and still remains unsold.

It depends. I have had offers that were accepted within minutes, and I have had negotiations that went on for over a week.

Umm a couple of hours, they were desperate!

what happened with us??? hmmm..

He gave us a number and we countered. Then he came back with a price and we said no thanks. He called us back with a lower number and we accepted.

It was about 4 days of this. It's annoying isn't it? Every time the phone rings, we would both dodge to the phone to see if it was him.

Good luck. If you think about it, the longer they take... the better of a sign that is. If they were going to say no... they would have called you back right away.
