How long did you wait to tell people????

Of course I want to tell everyone now, but I want to wait a little just in case. How long did you wait???

We told our parents at 9 weeks, put them under a gag order not to tell anyone else...

Then at 12 weeks, the gag order was lifted and we would tell anyone who would listen!!!

We told family and friends at 5 weeks, we couldn't hold it in! I told work and others at 10 weeks.

Told our family as soon as we found out. Friends about 1 week later. We figured we wanted to tell people when it was good news. If I lost the baby, then we didn't want them to find out then.

I am 14 weeks with our 3rd, and we are JUST starting to tell people now.

With my first and second, we told everyone right away.

My immediate family knew right away because we went through IVF and everyone called on the day of our test.

After that I didn't really tell anyone until 8 weeks, when we told a couple of close friends.

Everyone else was told at 14 weeks because I was seriously showing by then.

My best friend and SIL knew right away. We told my in-laws a few days later and then waited until 11 wks to tell most other friends/family.

i told everyone immed but onlytold a few about twins until i heard heartbeats

8 weeks. We wanted to wait but just couldn't.

Well I am not completely out yet. We told several best friends right away. My brother at 7 weeks, mil and bil at 10 weeks, work at 10.5 weeks (long story) and some other friends and family. I am assuming we will finish telling everyone around 12 weeks. Dh isn't really telling anyone yet on his side of the family and his friends and job, and I am telling everyone!

I'm almost 7 wks and telling our first person today - my mom! We plan to tell the rest of our immediate family at almost 9 wks and wanted to wait to tell everyone else at 12 wks but will probably share at 11wks on Easter.

I waited about two weeks after my BFP to tell my parents and sister. Then I just couldn't wait any longer! Everyone else, I waited until the first trimester was over, with one exception: a friend who noticed that I wasn't drinking when we went out. I am terrible at lying!

We told my mom and mil the day we found out...I wanted to wait to tell everyone else but seeing friends and family...I just couldn't keep it in!! I'm 6 weeks now and just about everyone knows!!

We told our parents and siblings at about 5 weeks. We asked them not to say anything to anyone until we wanted them to.
Friends we told a few weeks later.
Work I told at 12 weeks.

parents and siblings 6 weeks. everyone else after two months.

We were going to wait and then I blabbed....

Everyone in my office knew as soon as I did b/c I took my HPT at work!

I couldn't wait. We told my parents the same day I had a positive test (the day AF was due). The rest of my family that weekend. A few of my closest friends the next week. The out-laws (oops. . . I mean, in-laws), work, and everyone else at 12 weeks.

DH told his work at 6 weeks but he was so excited. (Our families don't live around here and he had to tell someone!)

We told our families at 8 weeks because it coincided with Mother's Day and because it was right after we heard the heartbeat.

I told my work at 13 weeks.

we told most people right away..well, our immediate families first, friends and everyone else the next week.
I havent told work yet..maybe this week
