How long do you keep the baby in a bassinet?

then at what age do you put the baby in its crib in thier own room?

I think it varies. The weight limit is usually around 15-20 lbs for the pack n play bassinets but you also have to consider how long the baby is.

I plan on using it for about 3 months

DD stayed in her bassinet for 6-7 weeks, only because I was the one who didn't want her out of my room that quickChat Icon

If Gianna and her new sister wouldn't be sharing a room, #2 would go in her crib right away.

I feel the longer you wait, the harder the transition can be, mostly on mommyChat Icon

My dd was in her pack and play in our room until she was 5 weeks old....then we put her in her crib. Chat Icon

We had DD in hers for less than a week - then we moved her to her crib and she has been there ever since

how big the baby gets and out grows it

Our bassinet is rather large, so DS (who is a peanut at 2 months old) will be staying in it in our room until he is about 4 months (end of August) because we have a room ac and he doesn't.

But if it wasn't summer I'd probably be moving him sometime soon.
