How long do you usually wait when you go to the doctor?

I have to wait over an hour for every obgyn visit. Sometimes I have to wait close to 2 hours.

I almost want to just arrive late so I won't have to wait so long.

it varries. I notice the late night apts I wait at least .5-1 hour. Its not all waiting room time though. I hate it, but they will weigh, pee, etc then stick you in a room for 1/2 hour with the door shut while you wait for the doctor. THIS DRIVES ME NUTS!!

it depends, i think the later appointmetns are a longer wait, but I am usually never at the dr. for more than an hour total.

I used to see an OB/GYN whose wait was always 1.5-2hrs and it was terrible. I stopped going there.

Depends which dr I see. One of them I wait about 10-15 mins. the other one is always an hour or more.

Mine seems like the opposite of most - the longer wait is in the morning 30-45 minutes and in the afternoon it's usually only a ten minute wait.

at our first prenatal visit my doctor explained to me that she's always running behind so I should call ahead of my appointment to see how far behind she is. She does though spend alot of time with her paitents. I don't know how long of a wait yet it is when other doctors are in the office. I guess I'll find out since I'm going to have to see every doctor in the practice.

my dr. is an OB but she doesn't deliver babies so i don't usually have to wait long - maybe 1/2 hour at the very most. but i am usually taken in and seen by the nurse fairly quickly.

They usually call me in within 5 min. of my arrival and then I am in and out within 10-15min. They are pretty good with keeping to their appt. times and seeing you quickly. Thank goodness!!

Anywhere from 5-20 minutes. I noticed that in the mornings I don't wait as long as in the afternoons.

no more than a few minutes usually. they are pretty good with keeping appt times. At the very least I'm seen by the nurse right away and she takes my blood pressure and weighs me so I'm all prepped by the time my dr. comes in.

I've gone to the Port Jeff office at suffolk obgyn...I never wait more than 5 mintues.

I went to the Patchogue office of suffolk obgyn...oh goodness, both times I waited over 30

I stick with Port Jeff if I can.

i think about 10-15 max most of the time i am being called before I am done with billing

So far I don't think I've waited more than 20 minutes although I've sat for a little while waiting for the doctor to come in after I've had a sono.

10-20 minutes, though I know girls who wait 1-2 hours for their ob/gyn.

within 5 mins of giving my name I'm in the bathroom giving a urine sample then right after that I'm in an exam room and maybe have to wait a few minutes for my OB

I have not waited more than 15-20 min in the waiting room with the exception of a few times.

about 15-30 minutes -- I always try and schedule their first appt of the day so they aren't running late

wow, that is a long time. I am in and out within 10 min unless its a night where they are doing sono's, it get pretty busy, so maybe 30 min tops.

Usually between 5-10 minutes.

ETA: but I usually try to go first thing in the morning, so probably less of a wait than if I went later in the day.

I've made appts from 4pm - 8pm with my doc..

From the time of the actual appt I have never waited more than 5-10mins.

If I get there 20mins early, well yeah, I wait.. but I'm early. If the appt is at 6pm I am in the room by room, weighed, pressured taken etc all by 6:15 I am usually in and out of my appts in 30mins or so. going all the way back to the first few appts. Paps and sonos take a lil longer but mostly my doc is ALWAYS timely.

If you go in the morning, you are less likely to wait. If you have an afternoon appointment, your doctor may be at the hospital delivering and then you will be waiting for a while. Also, my doctor would do rounds at lunch time so the first appointment after lunch wasn't too bad.
