How long does it take?
..to get into the groove of working out and for it to not exhaust you so much?
I started working out about two weeks ago - on the elliptical at home - workouts were 2.6 miles in 30 minutes. With the warm weather last week I started walking outside - 2.8 miles in about 40 miles. I did that four times last week and I was exhausted by the end of the week!! I know its been a long time since I worked out consistently and I do intend to stick to it 5 times a week moving forward.
The question is how long before the exhaustion stops and I can feel more energized than exhausted by it?
TIA

Re: How long does it take?
For me, it seems it's about proper nutrition, being hydrated and getting the right amount of sleep every night.
I was feeling great with working out daily for about an hour total. And then it started to exhaust me. Now I realized i can't workout on an empty stomach, so I have started protein shakes 1 hour before working out (any less and I'm nauseous) it seemed to not only help me get through a tougher workout, but it always kept me more alert through the day.
Maybe try that?

Re: How long does it take?
Thank you!! you may have hit the nail on the head. My diet is probably not nutritious enough - I need to get more protein in my diet and get more sleep. Cannot run a car with no gas I guess!
Thank you

Agree! You should feel energized after your workout, though I can see your body could get more tired earlier on a night you don't work out. When I started working out more, I required more sleep but I had so much more energy during the day.

I agree with this. I also find a recovery shake or a protein bar afterwards reenergizes me.
