How long does it take to get a cavity filled?
I have my very first cavity (at the age of 25  ) and I'm getting it filled tonight. How long does it usually take and does it hurt??? I'm nervous, I HATE anything having to do with the dentist.

It goes pretty quick! They numb you and about 15 min. later you are done!

I have to have one filled this Thursday. I've only had it done once before and I don't remember it being painful just the pinch from the novacaine. My dentist said he alotted 30 minutes for my appt.

takes 15 minutes. you wont even feel the needle of the novacaine, they numb you first with some sort of liquid on a qtip. its as easy as pie. nothing to worry about.
