Re: how long does it take to get amnio results?
I had an amnio this time around, but I had it at Madonna. The results took 10 days(they told me 10-14). The anticipation of the test was the worst part. It was not all that painful. It was over really really quick as well. I had to stay off my feet for 48-72 hours after, but I had minimal cramping.

It took me exactly fourteen days. The waiting time is the hardest part of the amnio. Make sure you stay off your feet fo rthree days. I was put on bedrest during those three days. Good luck! My prayers are with you!

I just had one done and it only took 4 days to get the results. But I'm a little further along than you would normally be so I think they put a rush on it for me.
ETA: I had mine done at North Shore Manhassett.

Re: how long does it take to get amnio results?
I had it done around 15-16 weeks, they told me 10-14 days for results.....I don't remember exactly how many days, but it was within that timeframe. Im in NJ, so I don't have any experience w/NSManhasset, but as far as the procedure goes, it wasn't as bad as I thought. It felt like a pinch & a cramp and was over before I knew it. My best advice is try your best to relax while they do the procedure---it sounds silly but I convinced myself if I would be calm then my baby would be calm too. If you have any questions, feel free, an we are all here for you!
