How Long for Tooth Pain?

Once teeth appear above the gum line, how long did your DC have tooth pain?

DS has two teeth, and I thought once they poked through his gums the pain would be over. But no, he seems to be in more pain lately rather than less.

DD's eye teeth are taking well over a month to come in She has had bad diaper rashes with these teeth.

Her first 4 (top and bottom 2) did not take long after popping up at the top. We gave her lots to bite on (biter biscuits - zwiebacks, frozen bananas, frozen washcloths), that helps the teeth push through the gums.

Thanks! It's been a couple weeks for one tooth now, about a week for the other, and I had no idea how long it takes.

I should try to get him to chew on things more if that helps. He doesn't seem to like to--except his hand and his stroller strap. I find that filthy thing in his mouth all the time! He doesn't like teethers or the cold washcloth though.
