Usually only one "activity" for the day. Coloring at the table with him, play-doh, baking... The rest of the day is him playing independently, with me, and some TV - unless we have a scheduled activity outside of the house (party, open play, tumble class). That's the best I can manage with a NB at home too.

I try to do one activity per day, sometimes 2...coloring, painting, play-doh. And I try to take 20 minutes a day to read too.

Usually 2 on an average day...3-4 on a good one, and zero on a bad one.

We do things like coloring, play doh, games, books, water play , going outside etc about twice a day.

Somedays ( many days) I cannot do anything and I just try to do more the next day.

I try to do a lot now b/c we dont get out of the house hardly at all anymore, where we used to a lot and he is feeling the bordom unfortunatly ...

DS is just 2 and I have a newborn at home, so we usually do 1-2 activities/day (usually playdough, coloring, stickers, helping cook) I do spend a lot of time sitting on the floor helping build duplo legos or playing trains, but the rest of the time he is either playing with me talking to him while I nurse the baby or independent play. The other thing we do A LOT is dance party in the kitchen, its easy to do holding the baby too and I get some exercise!

I feel like I am constantly playing different things with dd. But nothing in particular is planned, it just happens.

somedays i am really good...others not so much.

we always cook together...so that turns into a project.

he is board game obsessed lately, so if i do a game day, we probably aren't crafting.

It varies. We generally aren't home all day that much--usually we'll go out and do some errand or go outside for a bit. But when we are, probably one craft which is often simple--it might be him coloring or sticking foam shapes. Or we build something elaborate with his blocks. Or we'll use play-doh (which is usually mostly me making things, though if I pull out cookie cutters, he'll do more).

There are days though when he's just not interested in doing an activity, and if not, I leave him alone. Some days he's really into his books, and he'll look at them himself or I'll read a lot to him.

My oldest will be 4 next month and my youngest is 2. On the days we are home - we do crafts all day long.

My kids love to color, use waterpaint, play with playdo, moon sand. My oldest loves to cut construction paper and use glue. They love to draw with crayons and do crafty things more so than just play with their dolls and toys now a days.

DD is 4 and DS is 2...we are usually really busy outside of the house most of the time...but when we are home this is usually how the day goes :

together, we will do:

1 crafty activity ( coloring, painting, play-doh, stickers, stamps, baking, etc)

1 active activity (parachute (we have a small 10" one), dancing to music in the living room, instruments, play tents, games, etc

then i usually let my kids play independant with their toys ...and i allow TV time , before lunch , a show or 2 and after dinner, the same...

i feel that kids should have attention from me and do fun things together but also, know how to play independently so they can use their own imaginations and know how to occupy themselves and not always look to an adult for what to do.

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday DS has 1/2 day preschool so he has scheduled activities for the morning. I try to give him one afternoon "activity." On Tuesdays we have Music Together and then try to go out to lunch or have a play date with our friends from the class. Our one relaxation day is Thursday and so we either relax or do errands. I try to read with the kids every day.

DS is 3 1/2 and we try to do one craft a day but it is hard with a 10 month old who is now crawling all over the place. The rest of the day he either plays with DD, independently or he watches tv.

When I'm home all day with him...

We usually do one craft project - coloring, playdoh, or free for all with the supplies...we lose a lot of stickers with that Chat Icon

I try to get him outside for at least 30 minutes to run around...even in the cold. We went out yesterday to the park all bundled up.

Usually there is some type of errand outside but otherwise I get him to help me with the household chores like laundry. He helps to put the clothes in the machine...and the boy can really clean my floors with a swiffer Chat Icon Chat Icon

Same here!

Sometimes we will read books for 1/2 hour or play games (he likes Perfection & his matching game lately).

He has nursery school Tuesday and Fridays so I try to get him to an open play on Wednesdays. Thursdays my parents watch him while I work so my dad usually takes him out to lunch and to the park if it isn't too cold.
