How many bags of Halloween candy are you buying for the trick or treaters?

I have 5 so far----we ran out last year, but I can't remember how many bags I bought!

I bought 7 so far.

3.5 are gone. 3 bags went to the daycare trick or treaters at work last Friday, the other 1/2 is in DH's stomach

so I guess I'll buy another bag or 2

Can I hijack? How many pieces of candy do you give out per kid? This is my first Halloween in LI and NOT in a nyc apt - i.e first time with trick or treaters.

I let them take from the bowl. Most of the time they take two each but toward the end I tell them they can have more if I have some left.

Better they have the candy than me!

Bought 5 at Target. Hope it's enough. Last year it looked like we might run out, but we just made it

None. We don't get trick or treaters on my block!

I did buy candy though to make some goody bags for my kids' school.

We only bought 2 - a bag of like 300 mini Tootsie Pops and a bag of 100 Airheads.

I'm wondering if I should get another bag or 2...

I ran out last year and I make goody bags......I'm thinking 7 or 8 bags....

I bought one bag...last year we weren't here for halloween, so this is the first time we have it here in the house. if we start to run out DH or I will run to the store and buy more.

We'll get 2 or 3 bags of chocolate. I already have my tootsie pops to make ghosts and a bunch of free bear naked granola packs that I got for free. The kids at our door wil get good stuff!!

OMG! We haven't even bought candy. Didn't buy it when we lived the our apartment no one ever came

we're only getting one bag. we have hardly any kids that show up at our house.

We just bought 5 big bags at BJs...DH and I are both teachers.
It is also our first Halloween in our house and we're having company on Sat night. Hope it's enough

I bought 3 of the big bags from BJ's. Last year, I only bought 5 regular sized bags at the grocery store and I ran out, and had to get more...and I also took stuff from my step-daughter to give out because we had so many kids

PS. I opened all 3 of the bags to "taste" them

I bought those really big bags from Target (3 of them ) I swear I hope I get rid of them! If I don't I'm so afraid I will eat them... Because I have a lot of candy about 300 pieces.

We bought two big bags. Now if I could only save some of it for the trick or treaters.

about 3 bags. We don't get too many trick or treaters though so we usually end up having left overs!
