How many bottles of wine do you buy on a trip to the liquor store?
My husband and I like to keep a few bottles in the house. I will go to The Wine Guy in Smithtown and buy a case of my favorite wine so that we have it and I don't have to drive back to the store as often. Sometimes, I will just go to a local liquor store and pick up a few (although I hate to since The Wine Guy is so much cheaper!). Anyway, I will sometimes pick up 4 or 5 bottles and the sales clerk will make a comment along the lines of, "Wow!! Where's the party? I'm coming to your house." I have heard this at two different liquor stores. Do most people just buy one bottle at a time?

Depends where we go.
I order the red I like by the case directly from the winery.
If I need white in a pinch I will buy 2-3 bottles from the liquor store.
If we go to Stew Lenoards we'll walk out with at least 7 bottles.
We currently have at least 20 bottles of wine in the house (full wine fridge and full wine rack).

When I go, I generally buy 2 or 3 bottles so I have them on hand.
No one has ever made a comment to me.

I buy several at a time including hard liquor. No one has ever said anything to me except how I liked the wine I was purchasing.

4 bottles, 2 red, 2 white. If I go to the vineyards I buy a few cases. The guy did look at me funny once when I went in three times in one week. Lol

I get that comment all the time, but never fom the clerk, always from other customers in line. People are either idiots or trying to be friendly.
We live in Canada but since alcohol is so heavily regulated here it is crazy expensive, so we buy our wine when we go shopping in NY. Every time we go, I buy a case of wine - 3 red and 3 white - so we don't have to buy any more for a while AND so I get a 10% discount.
I have never in my life bought just one bottle of wine, unless it's a gift.

I hear that comment all the time. 
I call it smart financing. 
If it's a bottle I love & I get a discount...why not stock up at one time & no wasted trips too.

We are stupid, we only buy 1 at a time, but go very often we love our wine.

I like to try different wines so I will go, take my time and pick out one. If people are coming over I buy one red and one white.

depends. sometimes I buy like 4 bottles for no reason. Sometimes just 1. I would say i barely leave without buying at least 2 bottles though.

We stock up. If we are going to a cheap place we get a case. If we got o a more expensive place usually 3-6 bottles until we can get to the cheap place.
We like our wine and like to have a fully stocked fridge and rack

I usually buy 1 bottle at a time. I live and work near wine stores and I like to change up what I drink. Plus we have soooooo much wine at home.
